There are 2 kind of people in the world. Failure people are those who give up at the face of adversity. Successful people are the ones who overcome them. Adversity really is the only fine line of distinction between success and failure. So when the time comes for you to face one, and especially if you are losing motivation, just remind yourself that you just need to overcome it to be successful!
Merling, you comments are dead on about facing adversity. Facing it certainly makes you stronger. Loved your comments, and thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
Linda
Life is not meant to be easy and we all need to be aware of that. And it is true, how will you deal with it? If you have the victim mentality, you will never get far. But if you face these challenges head on, you will feel better about yourself and be respected for it. What helps me is if I am feeling down due to a challenge that seems to be never ending, I watch videos of those who have it 10 times worse than me while facing a challenge that is similar to mine but a lot more challenging… and that shifts me back into perspective.
Marsha, what a great outlook you have and your method for pulling you out of feeling down is wonderful. I too watch inspiring videos. There is always someone much worse off then we are..sad, but true. I wish you lots of serenity and strength to get through any challenges that come your way. Thank you.
The best,
Linda
I understand totally what this is about. It is very easy to get wrapped up into our life struggles. I have a son with autism, and life can be pretty hard at times with him. I love him but I definitely have many challenging moments. If I am having a rough day, I go and watch a video about children and adults who have it so much worse than my son. And in his case it is very mild too, so it can be so much worse.
Valerie, your comment was so touching and inspirational. Much happiness to your and you wonderful son.
