Think about all of the muscles in your body. From your glutes to your biceps, you have muscles that are available for your use at any time you need them. When you run, you know that you have to place one leg in front of the other, faster and faster in order to generate the speed you want. When you type on the computer, you use the muscles in your forearm and fingers. Today, these muscles are strong, not because they were made that way, but because you unlock their power on a consistent basis.

Most of us choose a career path before knowing ourselves well enough to pick the right one. We stay in our ‘chosen’ careers without an ounce of passion for what we do. Even if we have passion for it, we aren’t confident enough to say or do what we really feel is right; we may betray a fellow co-worker to get ahead, we veer away from our authentic self because we value money and title more than our creativity, uniqueness and compassion for others.
We go to work day in and day out and daydream about that fantasy life of ours – the one that really gets our blood pumping. What is your true work? What would you do if money was no object? Would you continue working at the job you have now if it only paid the minimum hourly wage?
Your passion may be painting murals, it may be opening up your own cupcake bakery; it may be inspiring inner city youth about overcoming adversity. Don’t feel stuck in your current job. There are always multiple choices in front of you. But, in order to unlock your true potential, you need to show the world who you are. What are you most passionate about?

We’re all creative in one way or another — every one of us. Are you in tune, or a little out of touch, with your creativity? Feeling a lack of being inspired or just a lack of time? Creativity comes in many different forms: painting, journal writing, pottery making, piano playing, interior design, blog writing, photography, cooking, graphic design and even organizing your office. All of these require a unique expression of yourself that only you can offer. This is your distinctive touch, your talent, and this type of creative illustration is the center of you. You unlock your potential when your work is not just a task, but a passionate undertaking. When you live through passion, your world and view of the world, opens up and expands. Your life is no longer mundane and just “ordinary” when you unlock your potential to live the life you dream about.

Think about what your ideal life looks like. If you dread working in a cubicle as a sales rep, and vision a life of traveling the world as a best-selling author, then ask yourself this: what first step can I take to get there? Create a blog where you begin to convey your ideas and thoughts and daily escapades, your adventures in life, and your opinions about yourself and the world. Read other author’s success stories. Reach out to a mentor. Have patience and trust the Universe is providing everything you ever need to be successful. Write poetry, document in your journal, put anything and everything in writing that you can. Allow that true expression of who you really are to flow outwards.
Unlock your potential and release the passion, and let it lead you to your intended life. You remember…the one you put in the back of your mind before you decided to just go with the flow of what others thought you should do, or the road you took because it just seemed easier? When you unlock your potential, it will guide you to a life of more contentment and fulfillment. It’s never too late to live your dreams. And, while you’re in the process of making this dream of yours a reality, be grateful for the experiences you had that brought you to this wonderful new life. Those experiences like your dead end job, will serve you well in the next leg of your journey. That’s how life works. Everything leads to something. You gather experience and skills that will become functional in the path of your life.

We are all given unique gifts, but it’s what you do with your gifts that will determine your future success, satisfaction and happiness. Those who decide to put their gift on a shelf will never experience the joy of realizing their true potential, and that is sad. I have a friend, who is crazy about singing, but he is just too shy to express himself. I’ve heard him sing secretly to himself a couple of times, and I do think his potential can make him big one day. Hmm… Your blogging method just sparked an idea in my mind. I think asking him to record his own singing and showcasing to the world via the Internet platforms will be a good start!

I love to write and I am highly creative. I know I can write a load of novels. What has stopped me? Being afraid no one will read my writing. But I must not think that way and thanks so much for this blog post. I will be spending my spare time writing and if I want to publish my work I will and try not to have expectations attached to it.
I think those who are the most fearful are the ones who realize the most how powerful and talented they are and are not sure how to unleash it. Of course many are able to beat fear, as there would not be talented artists, actors, inventors, authors, musicians, etc out there but there could be so many other talented and powerful people around if they were to let themselves.
